Specifications are taken from the latest notification we could verify (see Sources on the
main resizer page). Boards occasionally change limits between cycles — if your form shows a different number, choose
Custom in the list and type it in.
How to use the NEET / JEE / CUET photo and signature resizer
- Keep NEET / JEE / CUET photo selected, choose the photo, frame it with the face filling about 80% of the height, and download — a 3.5 × 4.5 cm JPG between 10 and 200 KB.
- For NEET's postcard photo, choose Custom, type 1200 × 1800 px, min 50 KB, max 300 KB, and use the same photo.
- Switch to NEET / JEE / CUET signature for the 3.5 × 1.5 cm signature at 4–30 KB.
- Upload in the NTA form; the system shows a preview — the full face and the printed name/date strip (where required) must be visible.
Why uploads get rejected — and the fix
| Rejection reason | Fix |
|---|
| 'Photograph size should be 10 KB to 200 KB' | Use the preset; a very small phone screenshot may be under 10 KB — the tool pads it up |
| Signature under 4 KB rejected | The tool adds padding so the file lands at or above 4 KB without visible change |
| Photo rejected for cap, glasses or mask | NTA requires a clear face without spectacles (unless medically needed), caps or masks |
| Name and date missing below the photo (NEET) | Print a strip with your name and the date of the photo under the face before uploading; frame slightly high to leave room |
| Postcard photo looks pixelated | Start from the original camera file (at least 1200 × 1800 px), not a WhatsApp forward |
Which NTA exams use these sizes
NEET-UG uses the full set (passport, postcard, signature, finger impressions). JEE Main, CUET-UG/PG, UGC-NET, CSIR-NET, CMAT and GPAT use the passport photo and signature only, with the same KB ranges in most years. Admit cards and the exam-day attendance sheet are printed from the uploaded photo — a sharp, recent, well-lit photo avoids trouble at the centre.
Tips and common mistakes
- Keep the original high-resolution photo; make a fresh resized copy for every form — do not resize an already-resized file.
- A plain white or light background, face straight to the camera, no cap or dark glasses, and 70–80% of the frame filled by the face is accepted by every board.
- Photograph the signature in daylight on plain white paper with a black pen; choose Signature mode so nothing is cropped off.
- Other forms: SSC · IBPS / SBI · PAN card · UPSC · RRB · Passport Seva · EPFO / UAN · all presets.
