Works for guitar, piano, tabla and vocal riyaz, and for pacing runs (160–180 BPM matches a good running cadence).

How to use the online metronome

  1. Set the tempo in BPM — type it, use the slider or tap one of the presets (60, 80, 100, 120, 140, 180).
  2. Choose beats per bar (4 for most songs, 3 for a waltz, 7 or 16 for taal practice) — the first beat is accented.
  3. Tap Start. A click sounds and the beat indicator flashes; tap the tempo button repeatedly to set BPM from a song.
  4. Practise slowly first; increase by 5 BPM once you play cleanly for a full minute.

Yes — it schedules clicks with the Web Audio clock, which is precise to the millisecond.
