    The stopwatch counts up to hundredths of a second with lap times — for sports practice, cooking, speed tests and lab experiments. The countdown timer counts down from any minutes and seconds and beeps when time is up; use the 25-minute preset for Pomodoro study sessions, or 1 hour for mock tests (the exam timer has a full-screen mode).

    Is there a sound when the countdown ends?

    Yes, three short beeps and an on-screen notice. Keep the tab open and your device unmuted.

    Can I use the stopwatch for a typing or running test?

    Yes — press Start, then Lap at each checkpoint; the list keeps every split. For typing speed, the dedicated typing test times itself.

    Does the timer keep running if I switch apps?

    On desktop, yes. On phones the browser may slow or pause background timers, so keep the screen on for long countdowns.
