Find PIN code by place, or post offices by PIN
Search a town, village or post-office name to get its 6-digit PIN code with district and state, or type a PIN code to see every post office it covers, the delivery status and the postal division. Handy for address forms, courier bookings and online shopping checkouts.
How Indian PIN codes work
- The first digit is the zone: 1 Delhi/Haryana/Punjab/HP/J&K, 2 UP/Uttarakhand, 3 Rajasthan/Gujarat, 4 Maharashtra/MP/Chhattisgarh/Goa, 5 Andhra Pradesh/Telangana/Karnataka, 6 Kerala/Tamil Nadu, 7 West Bengal/Odisha/North-East, 8 Bihar/Jharkhand, 9 Army Postal Service.
- The first two digits identify the postal circle (52 = Andhra Pradesh), the third the sorting district, and the last three the delivery post office.
