What is a cash denomination calculator?
Enter how many notes of each value you have — ₹500, ₹200, ₹100, ₹50, ₹20, ₹10 and coins — and the tool totals the cash instantly, shows the amount in words and prints a denomination slip. It is used for bank deposit slips, shop closing counts, petty cash, chit funds, temple hundi counting and cash-in-hand audits.
Tips for counting cash
- Sort notes by value first, then count bundles of 100 (a bank bundle).
- Fill the slip in the same order as the bank's pay-in slip: highest value first.
- The ₹2,000 note was withdrawn from circulation in 2023 — exchange any you still have at an RBI office.
