How to calculate your exact age
- Pick your date of birth.
- Leave Age as on as today, or change it to any date — for example the cut-off date in an exam notification.
- You get your age in years, months and days, plus total months, weeks, days, hours and a countdown to your next birthday.
Age "as on" date for exam and job forms
Government exam and job notifications set an age limit as on a specific date, not as on the day you apply. For example, UPSC's Civil Services exam counts your age as on 1 August of the exam year. Other recruiters (SSC, banks, railways, state PSCs) state their own cut-off date in each notification. Enter that date in Age as on to check your eligibility in seconds.
How age is calculated
Tooly counts complete years first, then complete months, then the remaining days — the same way you would on a calendar. If you were born on the 31st and a month is shorter, the month is counted as complete on its last day. People born on 29 February are treated as having their birthday on 28 February in non-leap years.
Example
Born on 15 May 2004, age as on 1 August 2026 = 22 years, 2 months, 17 days.
