Format, validate and minify JSON
Paste any JSON — an API response, config file or a line from a log — and tap Beautify for indented, readable output, Minify to strip whitespace, or Validate to find the exact position of a syntax error (a missing comma, a trailing comma, single quotes, or an unquoted key). The parser is your browser's native JSON.parse, so what passes here passes everywhere.
Common JSON mistakes
- Trailing comma after the last item:
{"a":1,}. - Single quotes instead of double quotes around strings and keys.
- Comments (
//) — not allowed in JSON. undefined,NaNor functions — not valid values.
