JPG vs PNG vs WEBP
| Format | Best for | Transparency | Size |
|---|
| JPG / JPEG | Photos, forms, WhatsApp, email | No (becomes white) | Smallest for photos |
| PNG | Logos, screenshots, text, signatures | Yes | Larger (lossless) |
| WEBP | Websites and blogs | Yes | 25–35% smaller than JPG |
JPEG and JPG are the same format — the three-letter version only exists because old Windows allowed three-letter extensions. If a form rejects .jpeg, convert it with this tool and upload the .jpg.
HEIC photos from iPhones convert when your browser can decode them (Safari, and Chrome on recent Android). If a HEIC file fails, change the iPhone camera setting to "Most Compatible" or export the photo as JPG first.

Frequently asked questions
How do I convert PNG to JPG on mobile?
Open this page on your phone, tap choose images, pick the files and tap Convert. The converted file downloads to your phone's Downloads folder.
Is there a limit on file size or number of files?
No fixed limit — conversion happens on your device, so very large images simply take a few seconds longer.
Does converting reduce quality?
Converting to PNG is lossless. Converting to JPG or WEBP keeps full quality at 90–100 on the slider; lower values make smaller files.
Are my images uploaded?
No. Everything runs in your browser; nothing is sent to a server.
